It’s that time of year again…the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) annual conference is happening in a few weeks at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. I always refer to this as the “center of the universe” for the franchising industry, as everybody who is anybody will be there: all the major brands, suppliers and franchisees. I’ve been a regular attendee for the past three decades, and I still get excited each and every year. Not only is it an opportunity to see some great speakers and learn about the future of franchising, but it allows me to connect with old friends (as well as make plenty of new ones).
This year we’ll get to hear from Gary Vaynerchuk, Carly Fiorina and Patrick Sweeney– just a few of the talented and motivational individuals who will be speaking during the convention. Combined with the 50+ educational sessions on everything from marketing to employee engagement to company culture, this should be another can’t miss event from the IFA. In fact, I recommend going as part of a team so that, collectively, you can do and see it all. It’s simply too much for one person.
In addition to the schedule of events, I’m looking forward to connecting with some of my business clients and associates – many of whom will be in attendance. This includes Bunker Insurance, a supplier for the franchise industry, as well as Franchise Business Review.
