The International Franchise Association has its annual conference scheduled for February 26th to March 1st of this year. The IFA Annual Convention is “the Super Bowl of franchising.” Every big player in the franchising world will be there. Over the years, I have learned a ton and met many great people at this conference. I hope you’ll decide to join me in attending!
The IFA Annual Convention is a highly anticipated event in the franchising industry. It brings together franchisees, franchisors, suppliers and industry experts from around the world to network, learn, and stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and developments. The convention features keynote speakers, educational sessions, and exposure to the latest products and services available to the franchise community. It also provides opportunities for attendees to network with other franchise professionals and establish new friendships and business relationships.
I have attended this convention since I was a teenager (literally)! Many of you know my history in franchising through my family's hair salon franchisor business “The Barbers”. I attended this conference with my parents in the 1980s, and I don't think I've missed any in over three decades! It’s so much fun!
I've written about this conference many times in the past. Here’s a blog I wrote a couple of months ago about a few other upcoming franchise events to consider if you’re in the industry. It's fair to expect this year’s Las Vegas location will attract a huge turnout. I wouldn’t be surprised if total attendance exceeded 5,000 - that’s a lot of people!
I’m looking forward to everything the event has to offer - the speakers, exhibitors, workshops, roundtables, networking opportunities, receptions, and more! It’s always great to connect with familiar faces, as well as to connect with the “new arrivals” to the franchise industry. If you want to connect with new people, share ideas, and have real conversations, the IFA Annual Convention is the place to be. Genuine, beneficial relationships and connections can be built that benefit your franchise business and help you as an individual grow. I’ve also found that attending the event and volunteering there demonstrates personal commitment to growing your business, and I feel motivated and energized when I return home.
In 1999, my parents were awarded the IFA Hall of Fame award, and they always considered that to be a great honor. Last year’s winner was Dina Dwyer-Owens of Neighborly. I can’t wait to learn who the winner is this year - who do you think it will be?
At this year’s IFA Annual Convention, there is much to see, do, share, and learn. I’ll be looking forward to seeing you there, too! If you have your tickets, let’s connect and schedule a time to meet up in person. Talking with others in the franchise industry is my passion, so let’s make it happen! My main takeaway is this - if you’re in franchising, then the IFA Annual Convention provides an unparalleled opportunity for growth. I am looking forward to seeing you there!
